Over the past four years, Serve Camp has made The fight to crush childhood cancer a core part of our effort to make life happen! Through our initiative Love Crushes Cancer, Serve Camp youth along with raising awareness, have raised & donated over $100,000 to local organizations working to crush childhood cancer through car washes! Please join our love fight by getting your car washed this summer (and more importantly helping to spread the word).
Car Wash locations and times & the childhood cancer orgs benefitting from them will be posted as we approach the launch of our Serve Camp summer!
In just three years Serve Camp youth have raised & donated $82,000 to local organizations working to crush childhood cancer through car washes! Serve Camp has donated to Team Mathias, INOVA Fairfax pediatric cancer support unit, and $52,000 in 2017 to PSV to help build out a pediatric cancer teen center at the INOVA Schar hospital (coming 2019). The fight to crush childhood cancer has become a core part of our effort to make life happen!
Our goal is to raise $75,000 during the summer of 2018 to build an LCC Legacy Garden on the grounds of our future Serve Camp home the LifePlex. If you haven’t seen it yet it’s going to be amazing – most importantly, it’s going to be a place where all of our life-giving dreams can finally be realized. We’re taking making life happen to a whole new level!
The LCC Legacy Park will be a place of reflection, inspiration and empowerment and will be built on the legacy of young people who have fought in the battle against childhood cancer. Their legacy will be our personal inspiration as we seek to carry on in their battle to crush childhood cancer! The park will feature an inspirational wall mural with quotes from these legacy makers, water features, light, and interactive media. We can’t wait to share images of the LCC Legacy with you this summer!
